Known for its wide, leafy streets Hacienda las Chapas offers privacy and 24-hour security. Nestled within an area of protected Mediterranean pine trees, which create a perfect shady canopy in the heat of summer, this is a well-established zone of low-density building consisting almost exclusively of large villas in spacious plots planted with mature shrubs and trees.

Its international residents are spoilt for choice when it comes to local amenities. Just five minutes from one of the best beaches on the Costa del Sol at Cabopino, nature lovers can stroll along the newly erected wooden boardwalk that runs over the protected Artola Dunes and forms part of the senda litoral coastal pathway – or even sunbathe on the naturist beach that stretches out in front of the dunes.

This wide sandy beach is host to many chiringuitos (beach bars and restaurants), as well as the Don Carlos hotel where the famous Nikki Beach beach club is to be found. Andy’s Beach restaurant and snack bar on the outskirts of the picture-perfect marina of Cabopino is another great favourite of locals, with a wide selection sea-faring equipment including stand-up paddle boards (SUP), canoes, pedaloes and jetskis available for hire for those who have too much energy to simply relax on the beach.

Elviria is close by, offering an open air commercial centre with a wide range of shops, services and a surprising variety of restaurants to suit most tastes. Should you not find what you are looking for, Marbella itself is just ten minutes away along the easily-accessed A7 main coastal road.
